In the past week I have read the novel Young Samurai, The way of the Sword (剣道). The main character's name is Jack and in the novel he is often called (外人) foreigner because his appearance and believes. in Jacks second year of training (武士道) Bushido - the way of the warrior, news form Edo (江戸) have reached Kyoto (京都) about Christians being killed by the samurais of the daimyo (大名) Kamakura. During his second year of training, Jack gets harassed by other students and have the threats of ninjas and the daimyo Kamakura while his competing in an ancient ritual for the school. Jack have support from his friends, however sometimes he's doubting their support and words.
The novel sometimes have Japanese words written in the text as I have earlier in this entry and I will give you the translations of them in English and Swedish later.
I think you would agree with on some things that I found in the novel which I will quote out here:
1.(On page 106) "You cannot run before you've learnt to walk."
2.(On page 220) "'...time to master.?'...'Five years'...'if I work Really hard...?'....'...Ten years'....'all my time to...?'....'Twenty years'."
This quotes are between Jack and a teacher in the novel. Starting with "1." is you can't do anything advance stuff if you don't know the basics, example: if you want to write a book then you need to know words of the language and the grammar. In quote "2." it displays the flow of time and afford to master something. The more time you put in training the thing you want to master along with devotion, the longer time you need to master it because of frustration and mistakes will create a wall in you mind that might be hard to break. Example: if you just spend the required time then a mistake would create a very thin wall and you might still think it's fun at it, but if you are only devoted to master the thing then a mistake will transform to frustration and create 30 kilometer thick wall in your mind. Wouldn't it be better to have a 20 centimeter thick wall rather than 30 kilometer thick wall for one mistake. It takes longer time to get back if you let the frustration control you and it might push you to quit and never attain it. I think it's better to mastering it in short time and have fun and from there I can support other people, may be as a second teacher that might help them understand. To those who nags their children to be as others in young age and school grades, stop and think ´what can I do to help them towards their goals in life´ and remember that we are different from each other and let them bloom later than never. I myself blossomed as late as in junior high school in studies and that helped to where I'm now.

Why things break
Over the years of our inventions, we often face the fact that they break down.
Computers, they are sensitive to dust and falls. What I mean is that they can get slower just by gendering up dust in the hard drive area. There is a fan in the hard drive just to clear it from dust but it's only active when the computer is running. If the computer is in stand by mode or turned off, the fan won't work because they program tells it to switch off to save energy.
If you feel the heat right next to the computer or you hear the fan blowing for a long time without pause, it's time to clean it.
When you are going to clean the computer form dust, it's important to have the computer turned off, if you don't turn it off you may destroy the fan or the inside yourself.
To clean the hard drive you can use a vacuum cleaner and a needle or a needle and an air compressor to either suck out or blow out the dust. You might now wonder "why do I need the needle to clean the computer?" The fan in the hard drive have it own rotation and if don't stop it from moving might blow or suck it out of order which would destroy the cooling and self cleaning process. The needle can stop the fan to move and it will not go out of order.
When you have done the cleaning your computer will go a little bit faster because it need less energy to the fan to clean the hard drive.
As many other divvies, computers have gotten a bit safer from breaking down by falling down, however if it falls to often, even a minor fall, could break the circuit card and the computer won't work even if it looks okay.
There is a reason computer can withstand more falls and that is the design of them. The designers have worked with how the model of the computer should take the impacts of the falls the may come in the further, but no matter how much work you put in the design, computer will break easy if it falls to often. The main reason is those minor and sometime invisible cracks and these cracks will grow bigger and bigger for each time the computer fall down to the flour. The impacts shouldn't reach the circuit card because it can't withstand them that well as the shale. With many minor cracks in the shale than the impact will sooner or later reach the circuit card and jeopardize the data and the life of the computer. Having backup copy would help you if the computer would break down and you won't lose that much data when it happens.

how does technology affect our life
Recently I have seen a seminar on the web: abha dawesar-life in the digital now. It was about how technology affect us in a blackout and our ability to think fast and store memories.
The seminar began with an example of the hurricane Sandy and New York city and a big blackout there. People did step out even in rain just to charge their mobile phone under an umbrella. I think they did it just to continue their daily life, not for an emergency situation, but was it really necessary to do so.
The seminar also talks about how our technology do most of our thinking (as calculating math) and the web offer to store our memories in blogs and tweeds, but gives less work for our brain to get good experience along the flow of time. To be the best at spelling words, we need to give ourselves time to try and accept failures along the way as well as get it right sometimes. If you get it wrong every time then you must get help to be able give yourself good experience that might help you to remember the right letters for that word. It applies for handwriting as well as digital writing.
In the past I have read an article on The Japans Times cursive handwriting disappearing from schools. The less practice children gets on handwriting in schools, their possibility to be able to write without any technical objects grows weak along the time they don't use their hands to write out words. The brain won't remember the pattern of moving your hand to write out the letters or to write on a straight line.
When I was in high school I was told to write by hand to be able to remember contexts and words easier because there isn't a computer with a spelling program that allow you to write the right letters of the words, realize you own mistakes by looking at your text.
Do everything by yourself to learn by trying (if you feel bad about it, look it up), hand over to someone else (if something is wrong, look it up together so both of you get it right by learning from each other). Make the story of your life to way you want along the time that pass by and good or bad memories of your past and goals in the further.

can you ban cars in a large city
For a University course I have read a article from BBC about a idée of the city of Hamburg, Germany to close down parts of the city for car traffic. http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20140204-can-a-city-really-go-car-free .
The article was about the idée of close down 40% of Hamburg city from cars in a zoon called "green network" which should cover areas around parks, playgrounds, sport areas etc. However a big question is 'can the city of Hamburg still function'? in this idée to these areas you have to take a walk, your bike cycle or the bus.
Hamburg is not the only one that make more for the environment by allow cars on less space within the city. London tries to do it and Copenhagen creates more bike cycles roads. With this kind of idée it makes you wonder if the age of cars near its end. If there is less areas there your drive car then you may not need a car, which make the environment a little bit better.
The article have also research report in it. Since the T-model of Ford in 1908, the number of cars has grown but it may have reached its peak. A professor at the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute have published reports of car use and the impact on the environment. In one report showed by his calculation of motor vehicle might peaked in 2008 to now decline. To make a report fair between history and present, economy for the time and the car sales in the same time has taken into the account of the report. There was also the new kind of work mention in it (work from home) and the movement of population in cities center. In Chinas big cities their looking to make a limit of motorized vehicles. The Asian countries, according to another report, will not make it to the level of cars as the west have enjoyed.
In Sweden have the agency of public roads for 20 years tried to make it so safe that no one can get serious injured or die in a traffic accident. Sweden are not there now but in the right direction towards theirs goal, so please (if you drive a car) DRIVE THE SPEEDLIMIT AT HIGHEST or drive 5 km/h below the speed limit and look where you want to go, have your mirrors set, be rest up before the drive, no smoking in the car, no alcohol in your body when you drive, seat belt always on for all in the car during a drive as well as no cellphone for the driver when the car is in drive and drive so you can be in control of the car anytime and driving condition of the road!!! Drive distracted, speeding, drive drunk and no seat belt may cost lives that shouldn't happen. If you don't believe me than have look on Canada's worst driver because same seasons they tell stories that make you realize that bad driving is not a excuse for your mistakes in traffic.

Prisutdelning-USA Nationalsång "The Star Spangled Banner"
USA nationalsång (The National Anthem of The United States of America)
O say can you see by dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the rampartswe watched, were so gallantly streaming,
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there,
O say dose that star-spangled banner yet wave,
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave
On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host,
In dread silence reposes,
What is that witch the Breeze,
O'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows,
Half conceals, half discloses,
Now it catches the gleam, of the morning's first beam
In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream
'Tis the star- spangled banner,
Oh long may it wave,
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave
When our land is illumined, with liberty's smile,
If a foe from within, strikes a blow at her glory,
Down, down with the traitor, that dares to defile,
The flag of the stars and the page of her story,
And the millions unchained, Who their brithright hath gained,
We will keep her bright blazon forever unstained,
And the star-spangled banner, in triumph shall wave,
While the land of the free, is the home for the brave
Oh thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand,
Between their loved home and the war's desolation,
Blest victory and peace, may the heaven rescued land,
Praise the power that hath made, and preserved us a nation,
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto, "in god is our trrust",
And the star-spangled banner, in trimuph shall wave,
O'er the land of the free and the home for the brave
